Privacy Policy

Who we are

HiveCatcher is a service of Ceasoned Inc. (“we”, “us”), the controller of the personal information described here. Our registered address is 310 Busse Hwy #370, Park Ridge, IL 60068, USA. Our Privacy and Security Officer handles anything in this policy. Email them at privacy@hivecatcher.com.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored hashed) and organization details.
• Billing information. Handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We store a customer reference and subscription state; we never see or store your full card number.
• Device and connection information. Device identifiers, hostnames, connectivity and health telemetry, and the cellular line and SIM identifiers needed to run your service.
• Usage and support. How you use the dashboard, and the messages you send us.
• Site analytics. Only if you agree (see Cookies, below).

How we use it, and our legal bases

• To provide the service, operate devices and lines, and support you (performance of a contract).
• To take payment and manage subscriptions (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and troubleshoot (legitimate interests).
• To send service and account messages (performance of a contract), and, where you opt in, marketing (consent).
• To measure and improve the website with analytics (consent).
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers that help us run HiveCatcher, under contract and only as needed:

• Stripe, for payments and subscription billing.
• Choice IoT, our cellular connectivity provider, for SIM and line data. Your device never contacts them directly.
• Cloud hosting and email providers, for running the service and delivering messages.
• Google Analytics, for website measurement, only after you accept analytics cookies.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. To exercise any of them, email privacy@hivecatcher.com. We will respond within the time the law allows and will not discriminate against you for making a request.

• GDPR and UK GDPR: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
• CCPA and CPRA (California): to know, access, delete and correct your personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. You may use an authorized agent.

Retention and transfers

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Security and two-step verification audit records (the event, time, account, acting administrator, IP address and browser) are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. We may process information in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Children

HiveCatcher is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you through the service.
